Partnership with GTalkPhone |
|
JingleSwitch announced today its partnership with GTalkPhone. With JingleSwitch, GTalkPhone is now able to allow
Google Talk users to make voice calls to any traditional phone anywhere
in the world.
GTalkPhone provides a gateway from Google Talk to the Public |
| Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), thus allowing Google Talk users to make
outgoing telephone calls to anyone with a traditional telephone. Also,
with the optional assigned phone number service, Google Talk users can
receive incoming calls from anyone with a traditional telephone. In
order to receive incoming calls from the PSTN, a Google talk subscriber
must have an assigned phone number for the PSTN user to dial. GTalkPhone
provides this optional service for an additional fee. Whenever a PSTN
user dials this phone number, GTalkPhone will first check if the user is
available through their Google Talk account. If the user is available,
the incoming call will be delivered to the account, if not, the call
will be forwarded to the Google Talk user's voice mail account.
